F.A.Q

How do I become a member of the NHPA?

All prospective new members must complete a membership application available in our membership section, or from our home page. Before any applicant is granted access to secure perimeters, they must have a clean criminal record, a completed application and a vote from the membership.

What are the benefits of membership?

You can attend and assist at club shoots.
Learn from pro’s how to set up and shoot either 1.3G display or 1.4G consumer shows.
Learn from some of our builders, how to create effects using raw materials.
You’ll learn how to keep yourself, your fellow members, and spectators absolutely SAFE!
You can benefit from various club buys for class 1.4G.
Attend “members night” and all official club meetings.
You’ll enjoy the camaraderie between members who all enjoy the same thing!

Does the NHPA “sell” shows or fireworks to the general public?

No. The NHPA is not “in business”. We are a not-for profit entity solely for the purpose of training mentoring and encouraging the safe and artistic use of all things pyrotechnic. We do conduct tee-shirt sales, calendars and other various fund raising activities.

What is expected of me as a member?

The NHPA is 100% volunteer. We’re always looking for like-minded individuals who can bring something to the table. Be it enthusiasm, building skills, Hazmat or other related skills. These are by no means “requirements”, but everyone in the club has the “lend a hand” attitude, be it for functions, show set-up, even PR and cooking skills!
